Bali Island, Paradise in Indonesia

Bali is one of the largest provinces in Indonesia which an island became part of the province. In addition to Bali island, Bali Province also consists of smaller islands, called Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan Island and Serangan Island.


Bali Island lies between Java and Lombok. Denpasar is the provincial capital of which is located in the southern part of the island. The majority of Balinese are Hindu. Bali is also known as the Island of the Gods and the island of thousand temples.



Bali Island is part of the Sunda Islands’ Lesser along the 153 km and 112 km wide, approximately 3.2 km from the island of Java. Mount Agung is Bali's highest point (3,148 m).
Based on the relief and topography, in the middle of the island of Bali lie mountains that extends from west to east and in the mountains there is a cluster of volcanoes is Mount Batur and Mount Agung and non-volcanic mountains, namely Mount Merbuk, Mount Patas and Mount Seraya. Balinese traditional music has in common with traditional music in many parts of Indonesia, for example, the orchestra and various other percussion instruments. Generally, Balinese music is a combination of a variety of metal percussion instruments (metallophone), gongs and wooden percussion (xylophone).
